A Tall Building for A New City, is a project in high tech advanced Tall Building Studio with the collaboration of SOM (Skidmore Owings and Merrill ), the influential global firm that is expert on the topic. A team of seven reviewers with a wide range of expertise including Mark Sarkisian, Chief Structural Engineer contribute to our studio and provide feedback and support us during critiques and throughout the process.

Designed by Narges Alizadeh and Aayushi Kapadia, the  project consist of A Master Plan for the New City.and a A single, very tall building (>1300 ft).

Alameda Beacon’ is the first signature tall building of functional and symbolic significance in the Alameda City. It helps address the housing crisis in the San Francisco Bay Area by designing a new city for 700,000 people on the former site of the Alameda Naval Air Station. In the design of Alameda City, where mixed-use and mixed-income will be the mantra to assure optimal access, this tower emphasis distributing both housing and job opportunities for all income levels. Alameda Beacon’ has good transit connections (Ferry and the BART system) and is surrounded by bee-hive of various activities happening on the meandering paths, developing strong connections with nature.
