Tropical Oasis with roof garden and screens blends inside & outside boundaries connecting residents to nature. This project is remodeling the existing building and designing exteriors and interiors of a beach houses with an existing concrete structure in the beautiful town of Royan. remodeling could be an art form, making sense of the considerable structural, aesthetic, environmental, contextual and programmatic challenges of
re-using a building.

Offering different alternatives for the design of exteriors, I decided to blend the tropical jungle into the house whilst creating a bioclimatic comfort for residents to enjoy the outdoor experience. The balance between built spaces and open spaces provides natural lighting and ventilation for the whole house. The volume of the upper floor is set back to create expansive terrace to guarantee sunshine to the rooms and provide visuals for the wooded surroundings. A porous wall connecting to open sky frames on roof function as a filter, allowing a controlled transparency. The whole project attempt to  revolves around this dilution of the boundaries between interior and exterior to create an intense spatial dynamics.
